IAT’s Launch Ceremony of Serial Production for Self-developed Coupler Marks Further Upgrade of Product Matrix

On June 16, 2022, IAT's subsidiary holding company: Sichuan IAT New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. - Coupler Assembly Serial Production Launching Ceremony was officially opened. It further improved IAT's core parts manufacturing and series components orchestration in new energy sector.

This coupler assembly is independently developed and manufactured by IAT team. The high performance and fine quality of the product has been fully verified after rigorous tests at both bench and vehicle level.

As a professional automotive design and development enterprise that grows together with China's automotive industry, IAT understands the importance on ownership of core competitiveness. 

In 2009, IAT sensed the unlimited potential in the new energy sector. In order to follow the trend and seize the opportunity in the first place, Sichuan IAT team was established in 2016, which is dedicated to the development and production of platforming powertrain system of new energy vehicle.

After years of development, IAT has established a rich product spectrum, and has completed the development of pure electric reducer, plug-in hybrid coupler, hybrid range extender and all-in-one electric drive system prototype. Its products have been serially installed on well-known Japanese new energy vehicles and the feedback from the market is fine.

In addition, IAT has also realized the customized production of core components, which can quickly adapt and develop products according to customers' different configuration requirements.

The serial production of coupler is completely designed and developed by IAT independently. It adopts series-parallel hybrid configuration, which can realize hybrid driving modes of pure electric drive, series drive, parallel drive and direct engine drive for the whole vehicle. 

It is also the first DHT product with electromagnetic clutch in China, which enjoys advantages of simple structure, reliable execution, good NVH performance, high transmission efficiency and low cost. The product facilitates the balance of economy and power, and is expected to launch in the passenger car market.
