Sunsuria is a large enterprise in Malaysia known for real estate development, engineering construction and related businesses, digital technology, education service, landscape engineering, heavy machinery and commercial event activities. With the strong overall strength, it is one of the important forces in the ASEAN business community.

The cooperation between the two will fully utilize IAT's expertise and experience in product design, engineering development, international marketing teams, and investment and consulting resources.

The representatives from the two companies attended the Malaysia-China Economic and Trade Forum together.

According to the Agreement, IAT and Sunsuria will initially collaborate on product development and manufacturing business. The two firms will jointly establish an Automotive Design and Innovation Center (ADIC), which is set to be a large innovation center focusing on automotive design and manufacturing, education and training, car sharing, proving ground and cutting-edge technology, thus providing automotive education (academy) as a talent cultivation cradle for Malaysia and Southeast Asia to improve local operational efficiency.

The cooperation will apply ADIC Malaysia as the R&D and innovation base. With IAT's professionals and rich experience in product styling design and engineering services, both Chinese and Japanese electric vehicle technologies will be incorporated into Malaysia. The two partners will build and manufacture electric vehicles in Malaysia's own brand, then promote the products in the local and overseas markets.

Both Parties will also enhance the cooperation through a joint venture company in Malaysia to create a diversified automotive ecosystem, further expanding the scope of services. They also plan to undertake product styling and engineering services for manufacturing companies in other countries in the future.

In addition, ADIC will carry out research and testing activities for advanced technologies enrichment such as autonomous driving technology. Meanwhile, ADIC, as an R&D and innovation center, will also explore business opportunities such as school-enterprise partnerships and the establishment of an automotive academy. These platforms will provide talent cultivation services for Malaysian society and enterprises.

Globalization is a necessary path for the future development of Chinese vehicle brands. "Going Global" is an inevitable choice for their future survival as well. How to promote abroad is the top concern in the current development strategy of Chinese independent brands. In recent years, the soaring export volume has been the best proof.

As an important part of the automotive industry chain, IAT is also actively opening up for engagement in the global chain to seize the early opportunity. Its profound experience and global vision will continue to make efforts in science and technology for better cars.
