IAT Approved by ISO26262 Functional Safety Management Certification

On June 30, 2023, IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (IAT) announced that it has passed the ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management System ASIL D level certification which was approved by TÜV NORD, an international independent third-party testing, inspection and certification organization.

This is the first automotive functional safety management certificate that IAT has received, representing its successful establishment of an automotive product development process that complies with the highest level of automotive functional safety -- "ASIL D".

ISO 26262 Automotive Functional Safety Standard is a global standard prescribed by the International Organization for Standardization in 2011, which covers functional safety requirements planning, design, implementation, integration, verification, validation, and configuration.

The standard is designed to minimize the risk of automotive electrical or electronic system failures through a sound development process. The latest version was officially released in December 2018. Now ISO 26262 Functional Safety Management Certification has become one of the entry conditions for electronic component suppliers.
