Following the development trend of automotive intelligence while expanding the company's business scope, IAT began to recruit talents and reserve relevant technologies in 2019 and then established the Intelligent Connected Solution Department in early 2022, whose main business covers design service of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit and connected vehicle related products in vehicle full-life cycle, while the intelligent driving control algorithm development, intelligent driving product development, and intelligent driving testing and validation have also become a new growth path.

Now, the department has grown into a professional team of more than 150 people, most of which are from major OEMs and ADAS unicorn suppliers. The team has rich experience in mass production development for many models, while a number of in-house foreign experts could provide technical support. So far they have served 6 international or domestic OEMs and completed 8 intelligent connectivity projects.

Intelligent Driving Product Development – Domain Controller

With strong intelligent driving development experience from various projects and the trend prediction, IAT has developed a series of self-researched product technology routes. Its first product adopts the lightweight driving-parking integrated domain control solution with TDM (Time Division Multiplexing) system, which can not only cover the L2+ full-function requirements, but also meet the next generation EEA trend thus providing the ultimate cost-effective solution for the customers. 

To achieve this goal, IAT anchors its role as a system integration solution provider based on years of experience in the whole process of automotive design services. The company also takes planning and control algorithms as the technical core, builds a cooperative ecology with high-quality resources in the industry chain in order to meet the product development needs of customers at different stages, which ensures the adequate provision of design and development services for the whole life cycle of intelligent driving systems.

As the business develops, IAT has developed and completed an application layer algorithm platform with commonized architecture. The platform software supports L2+ functions such as ACC, AEB, LKA, NOA, APA, etc. A large number of scenario simulations have been carried out, and real vehicle verification in parallel has also been conducted well.

T&V Activities

With a mature ADAS function test scenario library and rich project experience, IAT is skilled in using various common test equipment (VBOX\RT3000\AVE\ASEva, etc.), and has accumulated a large test cases and development experience. More than 1000+ optimizations have been provided for customers. IAT can offer a full range of testing services for intelligent driving systems as an independent party, while supporting optimization for its self-developed algorithm platform.

The test scenario library covers national standards, C-NCAP, i-Vista etc., as well as typical car scenarios and extreme scenarios of each function, etc. The test scenarios are kept updated in real time based on feedback from the market, users, media and other channels. The company also has the ability to benchmark ADAS functions, including regulatory compliance testing, operational boundary testing, performance testing, HMI interaction evaluation, etc.

a. The field test equipment supports the calibration test, performance test, regulation test and sensor test for ADAS function and parking assistance function etc.

b. Road test equipment are used to analyze the ADAS test conditions in the actual road test and they automatically generate test reports for fast analysis of the issue. At the same time, the road scenes are extracted and re-injected into the simulation environment.

Many turnkey vehicle-level development projects enrich the Intelligent Connected Solution Department with profound experience to understand better the processes of intelligent systems at different stages as well as the technical requirements of associated systems during the vehicle development process, which helps improve the efficiency of collaborative development and design/develop intelligent products that meet customers' requirements of functions, costs and duration.

Regarding smart driving, the department also grows the ability of product definition, vehicle architecture adaptation, actuator joint commissioning, sensor selection, hardware and software architecture design, software development, scenario simulation, functional testing and verification, etc. They can provide full-stack smart driving system solutions for OEMs and will put in their determined efforts in science for better cars.
