IAT’s SOA Developer Platform V3.0 Goes Online to Boost Automotive Digitalization

On July 20, IAT's SOA Developer Platform V3.0 launched online. This is the third major update of the platform in a year since its August 2022 launch. This update includes requirement management and scenario editing tools. A new module of requirement management tools is added and an important breakthrough in scenario editing tools is achieved. Now the platform has been officially operated, and a number of customers are trying out after launch. By far 5 models have been successfully developed based on this platform.

IAT’s SOA Developer Platform V2.0 has been laudable in the industry since its launch last year. IAT continues to deep dive the field of automotive electronics and electrical development. In the V3.0 version, we introduced a more diversified platform product line along with a friendlier interface, to meet the needs of different development roles and different phases of research and development. The products launched in the V3.0 version of IAT’s SOA Developer Platform include:

-Requirements Tool, an online document editing and generation tool for automotive electrical and electronic architecture developers.

-Architecture Design Tool, a tool that supports the automatic generation of different types of ARXML documents for automotive R&D activities.

-Software framework tool, an automated code generation tool based on AP AUTOSAR.

-Testing tool, a network testing tool that supports SOME/IP automated testing.

-Scenario management tool, an online editing tool with a graphical interface for automatic generation of scenario application development configurations.

2.Requirements Tool Introduction

FL (Feature List), FDR (Function Definition Requirement) and SSTS (Sub System Technical Specification) documents are important documents in the development process of automotive electronic and electrical architecture.

Requirement Tool is a new tool in IAT’s SOA Developer Platform V3.0, which provides the functions of creating, online editing and modifying, viewing, storing and managing, and automatically generating Office Suite documents of the three abovementioned requirement documents, which is convenient for architecture developers to perform the architecture design and the unified management of the output documents.

3.Introduction to Architecture Design Tools

Keywords: ARXML

IAT’s SOA Developer Platform V3.0 further enhances and refines the original architecture design tool product. The product provides automated generation of ARXML for automotive architecture and software-specific development configuration files. By input of corresponding service matrix information (format: EXCEL, templates can be customized for development), the automated generation of the four ARXML files can be carried out easily. 

On AP AUTOSAR original SOME/IP communication configuration basis, architecture design tools are added with the execution management (EM), inter-process communication (IPC) and Persistency of the relevant configuration functions.

4.Introduction to Software Framework Tools

Software framework tools can create different levels of Adaptive AUTOSAR engineering code and library files of automatic generation tools, supporting a variety of compiling toolchain and meeting the needs of different users in customized developments, which greatly enhances the development efficiency of automotive software developers.

By user’s uploading AP ARXML of the subject and the relevant test case documents (EXCEL format), the automatic generation can provide SOME/IP communication network test executable file, which is deployed in the mainstream chips and controllers, to implement the SOME/IP network communication fast test and verification.

The test tools facilitates engineers in the development phase to perform self-test and single-piece test, greatly enhancing the development and testing efficiency.

The main functions are:

-Automated execution of test cases.

-Test results generation and recording.

6.Introduction to Scenario Management Tools

Based on IAT SOA Developer Platform V2.0, the scenario management tool has been further optimized and enhanced. Through the graphical editor interface, users can freely create, filter and drag scenario elements, such as judging conditions and executing actions, and the operation turns out more convenient and friendly. The tool can customize the service libraries required for the scenarios according to the user's design requirements. After the user has developed a specific scenario, the tool automatically generates the corresponding configuration file in JSON format.
