NVIDIA China Visits IAT to Ponder on Future of Intelligent Vehicles

Recently, the Head of NVIDIA China's Industry Customer Division, the Head of Automotive Business Office of Data Center Business, and the solution architects and the Kaiwu Cloud technical team gathered in IAT and had an in-depth discussion on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in automotive R&D and production, and to jointly explore the future of automobiles in the era of AI powered intelligence and digitization.

During the meeting, IAT and NVIDIA discussed the effective integration of NVIDIA OVX computing system and automotive design and R&D process, including the architecture computing, AI training inference acceleration and arithmetic base for rendering. In this way, the designers can much more efficiently build digital twin applications for styling design, engineering design, simulation and testing, manufacturing and other modules. AI can also boost the creation of 3D model, offer fast generation of 3D (CAX model) of systems and components and parametric models. 

The companies shared the concept of large model technology application and machine learning, deep learning algorithms in the field of automotive design, where we see high requirements for reliability and safety. The participants exchanged in-depth ideas about many areas of the automotive industry.

NVIDIA has rich application scenarios and technical reserves in the automotive industry, while IAT is so far the only listed automotive design company in China. IAT has accumulated massive data of hundreds of models and developed a strong supply chain integration capability. 

The guests reckoned that IAT has the ability to run faster in small steps with NVIDIA's technical empowerment. After combining its own R&D asset, IAT can create a leading computing power base for smart cars in terms of scale and performance, which will further improve the iterative development of the domestic and even the global automotive industry.

The emergence of AI big models and a series of general or industry AI technologies opens up opportunities for the deep intelligent transformation of the automotive industry. Not long ago, IAT signed an agreement with Wuxi Kaiwu Technology and Kaili Wuzhi Technology to jointly promote the "IAT AI Innovation and Empowerment Center" project, exploring the new mode of AI technology to empower the industry.
