IAT Passed ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicle Cyber Security Management System Certification

Recently, IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. has officially passed the ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicles - Cybersecurity Engineering Automotive Cybersecurity Management System Certification, which was approved by TÜV NORD Germany. 

This is the second time for IAT to be certified by international standard after passing the ISO 26262 management system certification, marking the further expansion of IAT's leading edge in automotive software design and development, product R&D and serial production, information security protection, risk assessment and project control, etc.

ISO/SAE 21434 Road Vehicle Cybersecurity Standard System, the world's first international standard for automotive information security formulated by the International Organization for Standardization, provides a complete set of methodologies in the field of automotive cybersecurity, and puts forward overall requirements related to cybersecurity on the management side of the enterprise. 

The Standard also puts forward detailed requirements for information technology security on the development process of automotive products, so as to enable the enterprise to reduce the risks caused by cybersecurity threats to a reasonable range in phases during the entire life cycle of its products, and to safeguard cybersecurity for intelligent connected vehicles.

As the first international standard to provide the automotive industry with solutions to road vehicle cybersecurity issues, ISO/SAE 21434, "Road Vehicle -Cybersecurity Engineering", is so far the most authoritative and recognized in the field of automotive cybersecurity. 

The standard, jointly developed by ISO and SAE and officially released on August 31, 2021, is for the management of cybersecurity risk requirements for vehicles throughout the lifecycle (including conception, development, production, operation, maintenance, and end-of-life), providing a framework for the engineering development and management process of cybersecurity that enables the global vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to use a “standard language".

At the same time, based on the general idea of "V-model", it covers all the relevant fields and core development activities of automotive electronics R&D and manufacturing. Furthermore, it provides good support and guidance for the companies in the industry, OEMs, suppliers and equipment integrators to solve information security problems.
