Recently, our ICE-BEV converted logistic vehicle project for Japanese market has successfully passed the acceptance and evaluation, and the news has been officially released by Nihon Keizai Shimbun. This move marks that the "technology + industry chain" strategy has been recognized by the international market, and formally entered the Japanese market, bringing a new and green powertrain solution for the local logistics industry.

As a leading domestic automobile research and development enterprise, IAT launched the ICE-BEV logistic vehicle program, which is the first small diesel logistic vehicle to be electrified for mass production in Japan.

The program not only retains the stability and loading capacity of the original fuel model, but also realizes efficient energy utilization and environmental protection through advanced battery technology and electric motor system, which fully demonstrates the deep accumulation and foresight of IAT in the field of new energy automobile technology. This program fully demonstrates our deep accumulation and advanced vision in the field of NEV technology.

In August 2023, IAT and Yamato signed a cooperation agreement to conduct the ICE-BEV conversion of a logistic vehicle and make adjustments to meet the regulatory needs in Japan. The acceptance result was the first key achievement of this cooperation, demonstrating a smooth and progressive cooperation.

This time, ITOCHU, YAMATO and the logistics company affiliated to SBS jointly conducted the acceptance evaluation of the converted trucks, which is not only a comprehensive inspection of the product performance, but also a recognition of the technical strength of IAT. After rounds of strict testing process, IAT's ICE-BEV converted logistic vehicle successfully passed all performance indictors and was highly appraised. In the future, this vehicle will be officially launched in Japan and gradually put into operation according to the recent order arrangement.

The ordered trucks will also join the existing fleet of SBS Holdings, a large Japanese logistics company.

SBS Holdings has been introducing Chinese electric trucks since 2021, triggering the largest truck electrification reform in Japan's logistics industry, which was also an attempt optimizing SBS Holdings operation cost dramatically. This time, SBS Holdings officially announced the introduction of IAT ICE-BEV truck in the Japanese market, which will continue to inject new vitality into the local logistics industry and help realize the development goal of green logistics.

In addition, in order to tackle declining birthrate and aging population in Japan, besides the ICE-BEV conversion project, the company will gradually launch the L3 self-driving conversion business, which will make drivers’ life easier, and relieve the current labor shortage and greying population in Japan.

The cooperation with the Japanese local logistics giant is not only a concrete embodiment of the development needs of Japan's new energy vehicle market and the realization of business strategy innovation, but also a landmark initiative of IAT to comply with the trend of China's automotive industry chain going overseas by implementing the company's "technology + supply chain" strategy for going global.

With the growing international requirements for new energy vehicles, IAT's leading technology and innovative business model is gradually becoming an important force in the international NEV market. The successful deployment in Japanese market has undoubtedly injected a strong impetus to the IAT’s global mission. In the future, the company will continue to increase investment in R&D, continuously promote the progress and application of new energy vehicle technology, and contribute to global green mobility.

At the same time, the company will also actively expand the international market, strengthen international cooperation and exchanges, and jointly promote the sustainable development of the global automotive industry, with the relentless efforts in science and technology for better cars.
