On April 11, NVIDIA automotive business team visited IAT again. It is the first high-level meeting since the launch of cooperation, focusing on analysis and discussion of present progress of cooperation and the next step of cooperation. IAT also shared the feedback regarding specific use of Modulus and Omniverse in the actual work scenario. After discussion, both sides reached a consensus on the necessity and feasibility of AI application landing in the automotive field, and will further deepen the cooperation.
Previously, the whole process of automobile R&D often takes up to 36 months, while the update cycle of today’s digital products is only in a matter of months. From autonomous driving to intelligent cockpit, especially in an ear that a car is evolving more like a technical product, such a long cycle obviously cannot catch up with the market demand, thus being newer and faster become the greatest common divisor of OEMs. IAT, a deep diver engaging the engineering services for 20 years, believes that this is the best battlefield for AI technology.

During this visit, NVIDIA team carefully investigated the working scene of vehicle development process for hearing the needs and feedbacks of the styling team and engineering team in actual operations. At present, IAT has successfully connected NVIDIA Omniverse with a variety of industrial software R&D for synergistic applications, which shows a great achievement of the co-creation.
During the exchange, IAT emphasized that rapid iteration and continuous optimization in the automotive R&D process are crucial to meet market demand. The introduction of AI technology is expected to dramatically shorten the R&D cycle, improve design efficiency and lower manufacturing costs.

Robin Liu, Head of AI.X.LAB, shared IAT’s vision and progress: IAT has embarked on the journey of exploring AI technology in the automotive field. The Company looks forward to developing more application scenarios in the vehicle R&D sector with NVIDIA. An AI-driven automotive intelligent design center is the ultimate form of IAT who eagers to promote the technological innovation, upgrading and transformation of automotive industry, and to lead the digital and intelligent design in the AI era.
NVIDIA team strongly agrees with this path, and they believe that AI technology has enormous potential in the automotive industry. Nvidia reckons that the future cooperation between the two parties will focus on how to optimize AI tools in practical applications and use such combined AI technology to improve the efficiency of R&D process.
Recently, IAT also announced the establishment of an AI Robotic Division, which is engaged in cutting-edge research and innovation in robotic industries such as robot design services, outsourced production planning, and AI-programmed scenario application, etc. This is also an innovative attempt to combine the latest AI technologies such as generative AI, to create an open and synergic platform, while uniting with international leading enterprises in various industries to empower and support the innovative development and application of AI robots.
IAT is now collaborating with NVIDIA's technical team to connect Omniverse into robot development as the next AI landing program. The visit laid a solid foundation for NVIDIA and IAT to further deepen cooperation in the future. Both sides recognized the feasibility and prospect of AI technology landing in the automotive field.
In the future, NVIDIA will explore the latest technology in automotive and robotics with IAT, open the ecological and advanced technology platform to IAT, deepen cooperation by multiple levels, and jointly dig more possibilities of AI technology to uplevel the automotive and robotics industries. IAT is devoted to making efforts in science for better cars.
