Going Global, Starting from Lin-Gang Special Area of Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone

On June 27th, IAT Auto signed an investment framework agreement with Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Shanghai Lin-gang Economic Development (Group) Co., Ltd, announcing that it will establish IAT International Company in Shanghai’s Yangshan Special Comprehensive Free Trade Zone in the Lin-gang Special Area of China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, promoting business of automotive research and development, manufacturing, and trade. 

Mr. Xuan Qiwu, Chairman of IAT Auto, Chen Jinshan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the CPC Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Lin-gang Special Area, and Weng Kaining, President of Lin-gang Group, attended the signing ceremony. The establishment of IAT International Company marks an important step in the global strategy of IAT Auto.

We chose to settle in Lin-gang Special Area not only because the area's superior geographic location and convenient transportation network, but also the advantages of the free trade zone in terms of policies, resources and services.

On the basis of applying all the openness and innovation measures of the Pilot Free Trade Zone, the Lin-gang Special Area implements open policies and systems with strong competitiveness in the international market. 

Yangshan Special Comprehensive Free Trade Zone focuses on the goal of "new trade demonstration zone, new global shipping hub, and innovative industry recipient", and gathers R&D and design shops of SAIC International, Fiat Chrysler, BMW, Ford, and many other famous domestic and foreign brands, and the components international purchasing and distribution centers. 

After settling in Lin-gang Special Area, IAT International will make full use of the regional advantages to accelerate the internationalization process. The company will build an international base that includes R&D, production and export, which will serve as the frontline of the implementation of IAT's "technology + supply chain" going global strategy.

In order to follow the industry trend of automobile going overseas, the company has taken "technology + supply chain" as one of the basic global strategies, and set up an international marketing department internally to carry out the business promotion, marketing planning and branding initiative. 

The company has established in-depth communication systems with many enterprises in various countries, covering design, engineering, vehicle export, parts and components, and other products and service systems, and has engaged cooperation projects with a number of overseas automobile enterprises.
