New Chapter for IAT: YAMATO KOGYO’s Shareholders General Meeting Adopts Important Resolutions

Yamato Kogyo successfully passed a number of key resolutions at its 69th Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, marking its entry into a new stage of development. Among them, two resolutions closely related to IAT Auto are particularly notable, not only clarifying the future direction of Yamato Kogyo, but also injecting new vitality into its management team.

First, the General Meeting of Shareholders approved a resolution to amend several articles of Yamato Kogyo. In accordance with new development goals and strategic plans, the company name was changed to YAMATO Mobility & Ffg Co., Ltd. 

In the future, Yamato Mobility will expand its business to introduce electric vehicles from China, the conversion of existing ICE models to BEV, and the development of lithium batteries. Such moves reflect Yamato's determination to place greater emphasis on the electric vehicle business and its strong commitment to creating an environment-friendly society.

In addition to the name change, Yamato Mobility has also strengthened its management system -- the shareholders' meeting now has two new directors, Mr. Li Lizhong and Mr. Suzuki Akihisa. The new director, Mr. Li Lizhong, is currently the Vice Chairman and Vice President of IAT Auto, and he was Executive Vice President of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. His rich experience in the industry and deep understanding of the Chinese automotive market can bring new development opportunities for Yamato Auto. 

Mr. Li’s joining not only reflects the high level of market recognition that IAT has achieved, but also simplifies a closer cooperation between the two companies in the future. Another new director, Mr. Suzuki Akihisa, used to work for Nissan as President Assistant/Operation Planning Head of Dongfeng Motor and Executive Vice President of Nissan China.
