Fostering Intelligence Innovation: IAT and Hytera Forges Strategic Partnership

In the context of today’s flourishing new energy vehicle (NEV) and intelligent equipment industries, two giants in the industry: IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereafter as IAT) and Hytera Communications Co., Ltd. (hereafter as Hytera), officially announced their strategic cooperation. The cooperation signifies that both Parties will jointly form a beautiful landscape of NEV electronics, motorized system and robotics, and will drive industrial upgrading with technological innovation, and offer unprecedented solutions and service experiences to customers around the world.

With the rising prosperity of the NEV industry and the rapid development of intelligent driving technology, the change and opportunities of automotive electronics, motorized systems and robotics are unfolding in ways never like before. IAT, as a leading player in the automotive design and development sector, has set an example for the industry with its rich accumulation in vehicle and platform R&D, new energy intelligent solutions, and core component manufacturing. 

Hytera, as a global pioneer in the field of professional communications, demonstrates its deep insights in automotive electronics, motorized system and communications technology, and has a strong manufacturing capacity and global sales network.

According to the strategic cooperation framework agreement, the two sides will carry out in-depth synergies in a number of key areas. Combining Hytera’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, supply chain integration capabilities and quality management capabilities in the automotive electronics, and IAT’s strengths in the vehicle D&D, core components R&D, they will jointly overcome the challenges of NEV electronics cutting-edge technology, and focus on the domain controller to provide a full service portfolio of R&D, production, sales, and tools.

In addition, based on customer needs and advanced applications, both companies will jointly carry out full-process, full-stack development in the areas of unmanned vehicle development, common chassis R&D, vehicle modification and manufacturing, as well as crawler/wheeled robots, to improve the production and manufacturing links, maximize the commercial value, and promote the serial production and application of robots in the target markets.

Besides the cooperation in technology research, IAT and Hytera will also dig more in the domestic market, provide supports from respective advantageous markets, integrate the mainstream automobile factories and the leading NEV customers, and improve the closed loop from D&D process to production, so as to enhance the market share of the two sides in the domain of automotive electronics, and to explore the huge blue ocean of the motorized systems and robots.

In the overseas markets, with the customer resources of Hytera covering more than 120 countries and regions around the world and the five global R&D centers of IAT, the partners will combine their preponderance to capture the global market for automotive electronic parts production, motorized system and robots, build a globalized sales network, and contribute to work out the national technology strategy.

This strategic cooperation is not only an important initiative for both Parties to complement each other's advantages and share resources, but also a firm confidence to the future development of NEV and intelligent equipment industry.
