On September 20, IAT Auto and Lingte Power participated in the 2025 E-town Academy thematic event, “Service Production · High-Energy E-town,” which drew more than 70 leaders from the Development Zone Working Committee, Management Committee, and other departments, as well as over 500 enterprise representatives from across and beyond the district.
As an invited participant, IAT joined the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (BDA) exhibition on technology services for the productive services sector, showcasing its advanced capabilities across the full spectrum of vehicle R&D and new energy powertrain systems.
The event was co-organized by the BDA Working Committee’s Publicity and Culture Department, Bureau of Technology and Industry Promotion, Bureau of Information Technology Industry, and Bureau of Commerce and Finance. Structured around high-level dialogues, in-depth seminars, and exhibition of achievements, it gathered top experts, leading company representatives, and innovators to explore new pathways for the productive services sector to drive industrial upgrading—laying a solid foundation for a high-energy industrial ecosystem in E-town.
During the "Service Production · High-Energy E-town" thematic report and enlarged study session of the Working Committee’s Theoretical Learning Center Group, renowned Chinese economist Wang Yiming, Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges and former Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, delivered a report titled "China’s Macroeconomic Outlook During the 15th Five-Year Plan Period." From a strategic national perspective, he analyzed macroeconomic trends, offering a “compass” to help the BDA grasp broader development dynamics and refine its industrial positioning.
Another leading voice, Li Yongjian, an expert in China’s productive services sector and researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences’ National Academy of Economic Strategy, as well as a member of the MIIT Information and Communication Technology Committee, presented on “New Drivers of Global Economic Growth: Challenges and Strategic Options for China’s Productive Services Industry.” He identified key industry challenges and proposed actionable solutions, deepening the audience’s understanding of productive services as a vital growth engine.
Both presentations struck a chord with attendees, providing a substantive foundation for further dialogue.
Lingte Power was established as a joint venture by IAT and Liuzhou Wuling Liuji Power Co., Ltd., focusing on the independent R&D, manufacturing, sales, and technical support of high-end V6 series gasoline engines and dedicated powertrains for new energy vehicles—including hybrid, range-extended, and alternative fuel systems. At the exhibition, the company showcased its V6 series gasoline engines along with specialized NEV powertrain solutions spanning hybrid, range-extended, and alternative fuel technologies.
A notable highlight was the 6G30T2M methanol engine, which recently completed independent certification testing for heavy-duty commercial vehicles. Unlike conventional methanol engines adapted from diesel bases, this model is derived from a gasoline engine, retaining advantages such as compact size, light weight, low cost, low displacement, and high power output. This innovation supports a dual-path clean energy strategy combining methanol and natural gas.
With strong technical extensibility, the engine’s potential applications are broadening—from commercial vehicles and marine propulsion to generator sets and low-altitude drone power systems—delivering versatile powertrain options to accelerate the clean energy transition across multiple sectors.
IAT stated that participation in this exhibition was not only a concentrated display of the company's core technological capabilities but also a key move to deeply integrate into the BDA's industrial ecosystem service system and implement its scientific and technological innovation strategy.
Leveraging the high-energy "E-town Academy" platform, IAT looks forward to establishing extensive connections with more high-quality partners to jointly build a collaborative innovation network, injecting new momentum into promoting the automotive industry's advancement towards high-end and intelligent development.
The involvement of IAT Auto and its subsidiary Lingte Power has brought comprehensive expertise in vehicle R&D and powertrain systems to the BDA's industrial ecosystem, reinforcing the area's position as a key innovation hub within the automotive supply chain.
Moving forward, IAT will further deepen its independent innovation capacity, enhance collaboration with other innovators in the BDA, and jointly promote industrial advancement and supply chain modernization—continuing to contribute "IAT Power" to the high-quality development of China's automotive industry through dedicated efforts in science for better cars.
