The 2025 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference opened in spectacular fashion at the Beijing Etrong International Exhibition & Convention Center, jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal People’s Government.
As a highlighted branch venue, IAT Auto engaged deeply once more, receiving nearly a hundred guests across multiple visiting sessions and organizing specialized technical exchanges. These interactions offered a thorough look into the company’s latest breakthroughs and forward-thinking initiatives in electronic and electrical architecture and intelligent connected vehicle (ICV) R&D.
At IAT’s branch venue, guests began with a tour of the carefully curated vehicle exhibition space. The display featured not only several mass-production models designed by IAT, but also visionary concept cars pointing to the future of mobility, clearly illustrating IAT’s innovative capacity in vehicle design. The subsequent visit to the core components exhibition further emphasized IAT’s technical accomplishments, especially in new energy powertrain systems.
IAT also delivered a systematic overview of its expertise in electronic and electrical architecture, in-vehicle networks, and software platforms. Through live demos and expert commentary, guests gained deeper insight into IAT’s strategic positioning in the age of software-defined vehicles. Among the distinguished attendees was Andrey Bocharoy, a Russian expert leading compliance assessment system development at the Central Automobile and Automotive Engine Research Institute (NAMI), who expressed strong approval of Chinese automotive design capabilities.
Throughout the event, IAT showcased the profound technological expertise it has built over years of automotive R&D. Leveraging more than two decades of vehicle development experience, the company has established a comprehensive R&D framework spanning vehicle design, new energy powertrains, and intelligent connectivity. In electronic and electrical architecture especially, IAT’s new-generation domain controllers and in-vehicle networking solutions highlighted its technical readiness for the software-defined vehicle era.
Moreover, IAT has taken early strides in artificial intelligence with its self-developed TAI (Taiyi in Chinese phonetic sign) design platform, an industry-leading AI tool already in active service. By tackling designers’ common challenges, the platform considerably boosts both efficiency and output quality. On the global front, IAT shared recent advances in its international strategy.
To date, the company has successfully exported core new energy vehicle technologies to markets such as Japan and Southeast Asia, building solid collaborations with global players like Yamato Mobility. IAT’s oil-to-electric conversion solutions, in particular, have seen widespread adoption in Japan’s logistics sector, underscoring the global appeal of Chinese automotive technology. Going forward, IAT will further refine its dual-engine “technology + supply chain” global model, helping bring Chinese automotive innovation to the world stage.
A representative from IAT Auto emphasized that the company will continue ramping up R&D investment in intelligent connectivity, new energy, and AI, utilizing technological innovation to fuel high-quality growth. The company also plans to broaden international collaboration, partnering with global players to co-create an ICV ecosystem and contribute Chinese insight to the worldwide automotive transition.
IAT’s intense involvement in this conference reinforced its technical strength and influence in the ICV arena. As the company advances its new strategic initiatives, it is set to take on a more pivotal role in the global automotive transformation, adding fresh energy to China’s vision of becoming an automotive powerhouse, with steadfast efforts in science for better cars.
