IAT Auto Stands in Tokyo Auto Show Spotlight with Cutting-Edge Vehicle Designs

The 2025 Japan Mobility Show, widely known as the Tokyo Auto Show, kicked off with a strong presence from IAT Auto’s partner Yamato Mobility & Mfg. Co., Ltd. The company showcased co-developed innovations that drew significant attention. Among the highlights were an autonomous eco-logistics vehicle and a fuel-to-electric conversion truck, both managed by IAT Auto’s design team. Their debut demonstrated IAT’s forward-thinking vision and technological expertise in automotive design, impressing Japanese audiences and industry insiders.

The autonomous eco-logistics vehicle combines intelligent perception with multi-functional applications. Fitted with vision systems and 360-degree panoramic radar, it delivers high-precision recognition and full-range monitoring even in complex urban settings. 

Its compact and agile body design allows smooth navigation through narrow streets, making it ideally suited for last-mile logistics in crowded cities. Built on a modular design philosophy, the vehicle supports end-to-end unmanned delivery (directly from warehouse to customer) and can also be quickly reconfigured as a mobile retail space. 

This flexibility offers smart, convenient services to urban residents while expanding the possibilities for future smart city ecosystems. Also on display was a fuel-to-electric truck, built on a reliable conventional truck platform. Through a comprehensive electrification conversion solution, it transitions seamlessly from fossil fuel to pure electric power. This green upgrade offers a practical pathway toward sustainable commercial vehicles and reflects IAT Auto’s deep expertise in new energy technology applications.

In recent years, IAT Auto has actively advanced its “technology + supply chain” global strategy, achieving measurable results through close collaboration with partners such as Yamato. A significant milestone was reached in September of this year, when IAT signed a “Basic Conversion Agreement” with a core member of the Nissan Shatai Co., Ltd. This partnership underscores the strong recognition of IAT’s technical capabilities by Japan’s mainstream automotive sector and marks an important step in bringing Chinese intelligent EV technology to the global market.

IAT Auto has established overseas branches in key automotive nations including Japan, Germany, the U.S., and Italy, building a solid global network over time. Through technology exports, joint development projects, and other forms of collaboration, the company has forged deep partnerships with local firms, creating a two-way exchange of technology and resources across markets. 

IAT’s showcase at the Tokyo Auto Show goes beyond displaying innovative products; it embodies the shift in China’s automotive industry from exporting manufactured goods to exporting technology.
