On December 23, the “Building Momentum Across Industrial Chain, Advancing Toward Intelligence – IAT ‘AI + Digital-Intelligent Creation’ Product Launch Conference and Digital-Analog World Ecosystem Summit” was officially commenced. Bringing together nearly 300 participants—including government officials, academic luminaries, and industry pioneers—the event focused on the deep integration of artificial intelligence and manufacturing through a seamless integration of online and offline channels.

Discussions centered on cutting-edge topics such as the application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in R&D and production, as well as the intelligent evolution of robotics. The conference fully demonstrated the shared commitment across sectors to advancing collaborative innovation along the industrial chain and building a secure, next-generation industrial ecosystem, jointly sketching a grand blueprint for the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry.

Three Core AI Products Debut, Redefining the Logic of Automotive R&D

As global industries accelerate their transition toward intelligence, artificial intelligence is reshaping the fundamental logic of multiple sectors at unprecedented speed. Automotive R&D is no exception and is undergoing profound transformation. At the launch event, Liu Yabin, Vice President of IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. and Head of AI.X Lab, officially announced the release of IAT’s new “AI + Digital-Intelligent Creation” product ecosystem.

Comprising intelligent LLMs, intelligent agents, and creative design tools, the new ecosystem marks a systematic and breakthrough step in IAT’s efforts to redefine automotive R&D paradigms through AI.

The new ecosystem features three core modules:

Automotive R&D Knowledge LLM: With core capabilities in blueprint analysis, scheme generation, and intelligent review, “Yuanfang” serves as an “intelligent co-brain” for engineers. It compresses design iterations from weeks to hours and facilitates knowledge accumulation and efficiency through intuitive command interactions. Building on this, IAT introduced “Fangcun”, a product merging AI with digital mock-ups.

Based on cloud computing architecture, it automates clearance and interference checks for components, providing precise improvement suggestions. This significantly shortens analysis time, lowers costs, and greatly improves engineering efficiency, ushering automotive 3D design into a new phase of intelligent collaboration.

Aerodynamic AI: Powered by extensive engineering datasets, the “Yufeng” aerodynamic AI system enables real-time drag prediction and reverse generation of compliant body contours at the early design stage, allowing design and validation to proceed in parallel. As a result, aerodynamic development cycles can be shortened by approximately two months, with substantial cost reductions.

Styling AI 3.0: IAT officially released Styling AI “Tai” 3.0, marking a major upgrade from a single creative tool to a comprehensive AI-driven automotive R&D and design platform. Built around full-process design capabilities, the new version introduces key modules such as 3D generation, video generation, and model training, advancing AI from concept generation toward a multimodal, sustainably evolving R&D system. Tai 3.0 also introduces an infinite collaborative canvas, enabling project teams to co-create in real time within a unified workspace.

By integrating ideation, solution evolution, and design decision-making into a single environment, the platform breaks down role-based and geographical barriers to collaboration and significantly enhances efficiency in complex projects. Its capabilities further extend to intelligent vehicles such as aircraft and robots. Through the design and generation of a conceptual intelligent pet robot video, Tai demonstrates the potential of platform-based AI in future intelligent products and emotionally driven design.

Together, these three products clearly articulate IAT’s vision of R&D intelligence centered on intelligent agents, signaling the automotive industry’s steady progression toward a new era of AI-defined R&D.

Gathering “Key Species” to Form an “Ecological Matrix”

“In an industrial revolution that is reshaping the physical world, competition has evolved from individual enterprises to entire ecosystems.” Guided by this shared understanding, IAT, together with Digital-Analog World, jointly initiated an ecosystem matrix. During the conference, a formal launch ceremony marked the official establishment of the ecosystem alliance.

Ten inaugural core partners—including AEROCAE Digital, Yuanmu AI, Baidu Famou, Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, IAT, TusPark Yizhuang, Tsinghua University Institute for AI Industry Research, Siemens, Stardust AI, and Agilines—were unveiled. By integrating resources across the entire value chain, including technology developers, platform operators, application providers, capital institutions, and academic research organizations, the alliance aims to build a mutually beneficial, innovation-driven industrial ecosystem.

Representatives from Baidu Famou, Tsinghua University Institute for AI Industry Research, and Stardust AI, as core ecosystem partners, delivered keynote speeches from the perspectives of technology implementation, academic research, and data infrastructure.

Centered on the theme of deep integration between AI and industry, speakers discussed the evolution of enterprise-level algorithms from tool-based applications to self-evolving systems, and emphasized the foundational role of high-quality data, as well as data governance and security, in shaping the intelligent future. The convergence of perspectives from multiple dimensions injected strong momentum into the coordinated development of AI and the real economy.

High-Level Dialogue: Charting the Blueprint for the “AI-Native” Era

“Is the AI-native era of automotive design and R&D a disruptive revolution or a gradual evolution?”

During the roundtable session, six industry leaders from TusPark Yizhuang, Yuanmu AI, Siemens, IAT, AEROCAE Digital, and Baidu Famou engaged in in-depth discussion around this central question. From technological, industrial, capital, and educational perspectives, participants analyzed the fundamental changes AI is bringing to automotive R&D.

There was broad consensus that AI-native thinking is steadily permeating the entire R&D process. This transformation exhibits both disruptive and incremental characteristics, and calls for open collaboration across the industrial chain to jointly address challenges and seize emerging opportunities.

Powered by AI, Advancing Toward Intelligence. IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. stated that, as an automotive R&D enterprise long committed to technological innovation, the company will take this product launch and ecosystem summit as a new starting point. Looking ahead, IAT will continue to deepen AI research and application, and work closely with Digital-Analog World and all ecosystem partners to advance “AI + Digital-Intelligent Creation” across broader scopes, deeper levels, and higher standards.

Through these efforts, IAT aims to contribute core capabilities to accelerating the intelligent transformation of manufacturing, fostering new-quality productive forces, and building a secure and resilient industrial supply chain—helping steer the automotive industry toward the vast “starry sea” of intelligent creation.
