Leading AI-Powered Automotive R&D: IAT Honored with China Mobile’s “Excellence Leadership Award”

On February 10, at the 2026 Partner Conference of China Mobile Beijing, IAT Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. (IAT) was awarded the “Excellence Leadership Award” by China Mobile in recognition of its significant contributions to the establishment of the National Artificial Intelligence Application Pilot Base (Manufacturing Sector—Automotive Focus). 

Zhang Liqiang, President of IAT, accepted the award on behalf of the company and participated in the launch ceremony of the “Synergy for Shared Success · Digital-Intelligent Co-Creation · Ecosystem Alliance,” marking strong strategic recognition of IAT’s efforts in advancing the intelligent transformation of the automotive industry.

As an industry pioneer with long-standing expertise in complete vehicle development, core component R&D, and manufacturing, IAT played a key role in the application and planning process of the national-level industrial innovation platform led by China Mobile Beijing—the National Artificial Intelligence Application Pilot Base (Manufacturing Sector—Automotive Focus). 

Within the overall technical system architecture and diversified application scenario design of the pilot base, IAT undertook critical responsibilities. Notably, it led the development of the core initiative focused on “AI-Powered Automotive R&D and Design,” demonstrating profound technical expertise and forward-looking industry insight. 

At the government and enterprise market sub-forum of the conference, Liu Yabin, Vice President of IAT, delivered a keynote speech titled “IAT’s AI-Powered Automotive Design and R&D Supporting the Construction of the Pilot Base.” In his address, Liu systematically outlined IAT’s strategic roadmap, technical pathways, and practical achievements in integrating artificial intelligence with the automotive industry. 

He further provided an in-depth analysis of IAT’s role in the development of the National Pilot Base for Artificial Intelligence Applications (Manufacturing Sector—Automotive Focus), elaborating on how the company leverages its expertise in complete vehicle R&D and AI integration to drive paradigm innovation in automotive development and accelerate the intelligent upgrading of the industry, while contributing practical insights toward building an open, collaborative AI innovation ecosystem for the automotive sector.

At the exhibition area of the conference, IAT showcased several self-developed AI products: the AI creative design tool “Taiyi” efficiently assists automotive styling design; the automotive R&D knowledge large model “Yuanfang” is capable of drawing analysis, solution generation, and intelligent review; “Fangcun,” which integrates AI with digital prototypes, enables automatic detection of component gaps and interference along with improvement recommendations; and the aerodynamics AI system “Yufeng” can predict drag in real time during the early design stage and reversely generate compliant body contours, significantly shortening development cycles and reducing costs. 

The exhibition vividly demonstrated how IAT translates cutting-edge AI technologies into tangible R&D productivity, attracting numerous attendees to stop, experience, and engage in discussion.

This event marks that IAT has established a complete closed-loop system in the integrated innovation of “AI + automotive design and R&D,” spanning from technological breakthroughs to results presentation, and has gained high recognition from ecosystem partners.
