First Batch Delivery Launched: IAT Empowers AIM EVM to Enter Overseas Markets

At an overseas auto show in 2025, the AIM EVM, an ultra-compact new energy vehicle themed on the “Shisa” totem bestowed on the Ryukyu Kingdom by the Ming Dynasty of China and tailored for the vehicle usage environment in specific regions, attracted extensive attention. Recently, the first batch of this model has been delivered, officially entering overseas markets. 

Undertaken by IAT Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as IAT), this project is provided with full-process turnkey services covering complete vehicle definition, styling creativity, engineering R&D, supply chain development and management, process development, and complete vehicle manufacturing management, fully demonstrating IAT’s one-stop overseas expansion capability of “R&D + Intelligent Manufacturing + ODM”.

As a newly designed ultra-compact pure electric vehicle, AIM EVM boasts excellent low-speed flexibility and economic efficiency, making it particularly suitable for daily commuting, short-distance travel, campus and corporate logistics support scenarios. It can serve as a stylish and convenient mobility tool for tourists, a light-duty commuting choice for specific personnel, and a daily vehicle for government officials. Its strong adaptability promises broad market prospects.

Designed with two seats, the AIM EVM measures 2,485mm in length, 1,295mm in width and 1,560mm in height, with a curb weight of only 646kg. It features responsive steering and a small turning radius, easily navigating narrow roads. The vehicle is equipped with a 19-horsepower electric motor and a 10kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, delivering a cruising range of approximately 120 kilometers. 

It can be fully charged in about 5 hours via a 200V socket and supports 110V/1500W external power discharge, which can be used as an emergency power supply during power outages, greatly enhancing convenience. Another highlight is the Targa removable roof design: the two roof panels can be easily stored in the trunk, instantly transforming the vehicle into an open-top mode and adding fun to the journey.

The EVM model, integrating flexibility, practicality and fun, is a source of pride for IAT as a turnkey project achievement, and a concentrated reflection of IAT’s full-stack R&D and supply chain integration capabilities. To date, IAT has developed nearly 500 vehicle models for more than 80 customers at home and abroad, with downstream clients covering major mainstream automakers in China and overseas. It is the first independent automobile R&D company listed on the A-share market in China. At present, IAT’s overseas layout has achieved initial results, with five R&D centers established globally, focusing on markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and other regions. 

In December 2024, IAT signed an operation contract with AIM to provide turnkey development and complete vehicle export and sales services. The signing of the contract and project delivery mark that IAT’s overseas business has formed a sound operational and business model, realizing an industrial chain closed loop of automobile R&D, supply chain support and complete vehicle export, and represents a breakthrough in the company’s “R&D + Intelligent Manufacturing + ODM” overseas strategy.

In the future, IAT and AIM will further expand product development for segmented scenarios such as logistics and commercial vehicles based on this platform, and gradually build a diversified product matrix.
